Before getting into the October report I would like to mention the passing of one of our club members and frequent Electroglide pilot.
Fred Duffy passed away this month and to all who knew him, we are at a loss. It happened too fast, and we couldn’t say goodbye. I’m sure I am not alone in saying I enjoyed talking to, and flying with, Fred. We shall miss him.
Fair winds and following seas Fred Duffy.

This was not to be missed; if you did you should be sad. The theme of course, was ELECTRIC DUCTED FAN aircraft. C-17, Cougar, Habu’s, F-18s, F-16s, F 86s, F-4, Phantoms and a Blackbird SR71 showed up. Three categories for taking home a plaque were as follow….People’s Choice, Best Flight of the Day and EDF THROWDOWN.
Even with A plus weather, and a terrific turn out of Electric Ducted Fan Aircraft and a large club membership showing up for the General Meeting of the month……..the LUNCHEON provided by Larry Lewis and his San Diego Culinary School Chefs was the absolute centerpiece that all will be taking about for a long time.
