Our only income was from membership dues totaling $13,275.00 from our approximately 290 members.
Our most significant expenses have been operations at our outdoor and indoor flying sites. Outdoors at Sea World at $4,839.41 (field maintenance, signs and Spanky’s) and indoors at Hour Glass plus Ailiant at $2068.00 in total for both. Other significant expenses were the 2011 Holiday Party ($2,341.63), our flying events at Sea World ($1,340.35) and maintenance of our website ($561.00).
As most of you will know this is my last year as SEFSD Treasurer. Over the last fourteen years I have enjoyed looking after the clubs finances, incorporating the Silent Electric Flyers as a non-profit mutual benefit corporation, setting SEFSD up as a 501 (c) (7) tax exempt non-profit organization with the IRS and making our annual reports to AMA and the IRS and CA FTB.
It’s been great to have been directly involved with the tremendous growth of this club and with the running of two Electric World Championships.
Hopefully now with some time on my hands I may able to build and fly more often!
Enjoy a safe 2013 flying season.
