Electroglide Report for March 2025

Hello Club members, here we are in 2025 and Electroglide is off and running.  We did start in January and in February we had to cancel our meet.  We finally got some needed rain for our runway.  As of today, our runway looks great.  It was a little windy and none of our pilots were able to find any thermals.  In the past, Electroglide stopped in the month of November.  I have added November and December.  December will be awarded down at the field.   So, let’s get started with January results.  We had four participants for January.

Open Class:

1st: 92 total points, John Davis

Radian Class:

1st:  173 total points, Alex Sutton

2nd:  150 total points, Stephen Treger

3rd:  126 total points, Fritz Logan

February and March have been rainouts.  No make-up in sight.

February Monthly meeting event was a blast.  Spot landing was event, and the goal was to touch down in the center circle on you main gear to get the most points.  Total points you could get was 90 points and your time was also the backbone breaking point for ties!   We had a good turnout for this event, seemed like we had almost 20 pilots.  Thanks for all who participated in this fun event.  As you all know Jim Bonnardel who is the mastermind to Spot Landing was thinking that he had this in the bag, but little to him did he know he was going to get beat!.  Here are the results:

5th place, Neil Zhu who had a total of 70 points and a time of 1:06:7

4th place, Josh Rodriguez who had a total of 70 points and a time of 42:47

3rd place Brad Bender who had a total of 80 points and a time of 41:06

2nd place, Jim Bonnardel who had a total of 90 points and a time of 42:26

Our First-Place winning was George Harper with a total of 90 points and a time of 42:01,

Way to go George Harper on winning the event!

Thank you for your time!
