As a long-time member of the Silent Electric Flyers of San Diego, I felt compelled to reflect on the significant impact Discount Hobbies has had on our community and hobby over the years. Since embarking on my journey in the model airplane world back in the late 70s, I’ve witnessed many changes in the industry, yet one thing has remained constant: your unwavering support and dedication to hobbyists like myself.
Discount Hobbies stands out not just as a local store, but as a beacon of knowledge and support for all things RC. Your commitment to providing quality products and exceptional service to the model flying community is commendable. Many of us in the club appreciate how you always go the extra mile to ensure we have what we need for our projects and events. From your vast collection of airplanes, cars, and boats to the customized certificates for our monthly activities, Discount Hobbies is truly the heart of our hobby pursuits.
While online shopping certainly has its perks, the experience of visiting Discount Hobbies is irreplaceable. The opportunity to inspect products, get hands-on advice, and discover those extra items that enhance our flying experience is invaluable. I encourage my fellow members and all hobbyists to revisit the tangible joys of supporting our local shops like yours, where our passion for model RC can flourish. In today’s digital age, let’s not forget the authentic world of hobbying that Discount Hobbies represents.
Thank you for all that you do for the hobby community. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Discount Hobbies and supporting you as you have supported us.
