Some of you will recall Matt Orme who worked for Aveox in the early years of brushless motors. Matt handled all the hobby motor sales and customer support. He later left Aveox when they got out of the hobby motor business and started his own motor company, Razor Motors. After a long battle with cancer, Matt died December 31, 2013.

Matt also formulated “Orme’s Law” for calculating the number of Ni-MH cells need to power an electric plane in the pre-LiPo years of electric flight.
