This month, our club was featured on the AMA website and social media as AMA Club of the Month. One reason why we were identified is because of all the great photos that Frank Sutton has been taking, and Steve Belknap has been posting on the gallery. We specifically received compliments from the AMA on how resourceful our Facebook page and website is. I want to thank people who work hard behind the scenes to make our club successful. Sometimes we only truly realize their impact on days where they are unable to help. Mark Davis, who has loyally served our club members hotdogs for many years, had a sudden back sprain this week and had to go to the ER. While he has valiantly tried to make it this Saturday, it was decided it’s best to allow him a few weeks to recover, and other members will bring drinks and pizza this Saturday, Sept 27th.
President’s Corner for Sep – Oct 2025
We have a new draft design of the SEFSD sign, that we hope to have printed and installed in a few months. Jovi has volunteered to be our AMA Leader Member. This is a new requirement to be in the AMA Gold Leader club that Phil is diligently working on.
I’ve been getting a few emails and calls the last few months from prospective members, especially the youth, that would like some preliminary flight training prior to joining SEFSD. If you are interested in helping out these interested youth, let me know, so I can connect you to them.
