Playing With Fire

A couple of hints for charging and storing batteries I have heard around the field I have now incorporated into my LiPo routine.  I store my batteries in a cinder block with a cement block cover.  I only charge my battery in a protective case in the ceramic sink in my office while I am working there.  I will never take the warnings casually again!

It happened in the garage on my workbench.  The fire marshal believes it was the battery and not the charger as the charger was burned from the outside in.  We have lived in the house for 25 years so the garage was full of flammable stuff.  I had 22 planes of which none survived.  Good opportunity to start over!  I had fortunately had receipts for everything as the insurance company was not initially willing to provide any reasonable reimbursement.
